Tronic Black 1 Gang 2 Way Switch, 16A 220-240V

Our review

This is a single-gang, two-way wall switch from Tronic, finished in black and rated at 16 amps for 220 to 240 volt AC circuits. The two-way function means it can be paired with a second switch so one light is controlled from two positions, which is why it is commonly chosen for staircases, corridors, and bedrooms where you want a switch by the door and another by the bed. The 90mm by 90mm face and bakelite body give it a fairly standard square footprint, so it should sit comfortably in a typical mounting box, though it is worth confirming your box size and fixing centres before ordering. Because it is rated at 16A, it can handle higher-load circuits than a basic 10A switch, but the actual safe load depends on your wiring and the appliance, so have a qualified electrician check the circuit. Compare it with one-way switches if you only need single-point control, and with white or other finishes if the black face does not match your room. The one-year warranty is stated by the manufacturer. Available on Sokonia.
