Tefal Ingenio Steamer Basket 14×9 cm Foldable, Red & Black, K2071614

Our review

This is a foldable steamer basket from Tefal's Ingenio Premium range, sized at roughly 14 by 9 cm and finished in red and black. It is aimed at cooks who steam vegetables, dumplings or similar foods and want a piece that stores flat rather than taking up a full drawer. The Ingenio Premium line is described by Tefal as combining award-winning design with high-quality materials, so this sits in the more considered end of the utensil market rather than the throwaway tier. Before buying, check the internal diameter of the pans you plan to use it with, since a basket only works when it sits securely above the water and the lid still closes. Compare it with fixed metal steamers, which are often cheaper but bulkier, and with silicone inserts, which flex but may not hold shape under heavier loads. If drawer space matters to you, the folding design is the main reason to pick this one. It is available on Sokonia.
