Tronic Modern White Spotlight, GU10, Aluminium Cylinder

Our review

This Tronic spotlight is a single white fixture built around a narrow cylinder shade, which is what gives it its clean, modern look rather than a bulky or decorative one. It stands 170mm high and 60mm wide, so it reads as a slim vertical accent, and the body is aluminium. It runs on AC 220–240V and takes a GU10 base lamp, which is the twist-and-lock type common in Tanzania, so you will need to buy the bulb separately unless one is included. It suits someone who wants a discreet directional light for a wall, ceiling edge, or a spot that highlights one area, and who prefers a plain white finish that blends into light-coloured interiors. Before buying, check that your wiring is 220–240V, confirm you have a GU10 bulb in the beam angle and colour temperature you want, and think about how many fittings you need since a single spotlight rarely lights a whole room. Compared with adjustable or recessed spots, this fixed cylinder design is simpler and less flexible, so pick it if you want a set look rather than aimable light. Also weigh the one-year warranty against what other GU10 fittings offer. Available on Sokonia.
