Hitachi Canister Vacuum Cleaner Dry 8L 2200W CV-BA22V

Our review

This is a dry-only canister vacuum from Hitachi with an 8-litre bag capacity and a 2200W motor, sold as the CV-BA22V. The feature worth understanding is the Auto Suction Booster: pulling out the power cord triggers it, which vibrates the filter so clogs in the bag loosen and suction stays strong instead of fading as the bag fills. That suits households with carpets, rugs and pet hair where suction loss mid-clean is the usual annoyance, and anyone who would rather not open the machine to shake dust loose. Before buying, check which floor types you have and whether a bagged canister fits your routine, since bags are a running cost and a bagless model may appeal if you dislike replacing them. Compare motor power and capacity against other canister vacuums, and think about whether you need wet pickup, which this one does not do. It is available on Sokonia.
