Hisense H45MOBS5X 45L Solo Digital Microwave, 1100W

Our review

This is a large-capacity solo microwave from Hisense, the H45MOBS5X, rated at 1100W with ten power levels and a 99-minute 99-second timer. Because it is a solo model, it heats, defrosts and reheats rather than browning or grilling, so it suits households that mainly warm food, cook simple dishes and defrost meat or bread. The 45L cavity is generous, which helps with family-sized plates and taller containers, but check your counter or shelf space and the door swing before ordering, since a unit this size needs clearance. The 24 auto menus, including a reheat function, plus the defrost setting and cooking end signal, cover everyday tasks without much guesswork, and the white LED display with stop/cancel control keeps operation straightforward. The stainless steel front with a black exterior and grey cavity is a practical finish to wipe down. Compared with smaller 20 to 25L solo microwaves, you gain capacity but give up counter space; compared with grill or convection models, you keep things simple but lose browning and baking. If your cooking is mostly reheating and defrosting for a larger household, this fits. If you want crisping or oven-style baking, look at a grill or convection alternative instead.
