Tronic Vertical Stacking Single Monitor Desk Mount, Matte Black Steel

Our review

This is a desk mount for one computer screen, made from steel with a matte black finish. The arm lets you change the height, tilt and swivel, and you can turn the screen between landscape and portrait. It suits someone who wants their monitor off the desk surface and sitting at a comfortable eye level, or who reads long documents and prefers a vertical screen. Before buying, check your monitor's weight and the VESA hole pattern on its back, since those decide whether a mount will hold it safely. Also look at your desk: a clamp or grommet base needs a suitable edge or hole, and a thick or glass-topped desk may not work. Compared with a fixed stand, this gives more positioning freedom but takes a little setting up. Compare it with dual-arm mounts if you may add a second screen later, and with wall mounts if your desk cannot take a clamp. Available on Sokonia.
