Tronic Twin Metal-Clad Socket 13A with Two Switches

Our review

This is a double socket outlet from Tronic, built with a metal-clad housing and two separate single-pole switches, so each socket can be turned on or off on its own. The steel construction is aimed at heavy-duty, high-power use, which makes it a sensible pick for workshops, kitchens, utility rooms, offices and other spots where outlets take a beating or run demanding equipment. Before buying, confirm the wiring and back box in your wall suit a metal-clad fitting, and check whether you want switched or unswitched sockets. Compare with plastic-faced doubles if the location is dry and light-duty, and with single sockets if you need fewer points.
