Tronic Top Plug Black 13Amps Bakelite
TSh 6,000
Our review
This Tronic top plug is a 13 amp plug designed for AC 220 to 240 volt circuits, the standard mains range in Tanzania. The body is made from Bakelite, a hard, heat-resistant material that has been used in electrical fittings for decades, and the listing describes the colour as transparent even though the product name says black, so confirm the finish you want before ordering. It suits anyone replacing a damaged plug on a kettle, iron, heater or other appliance that draws up to 13 amps, and it carries a one-year warranty. Before buying, check your appliance's current rating and cable thickness, since a 13A plug on a low-power device is fine but a high-draw appliance needs the right fuse fitted. Compare with other 13A plugs on the market by looking at the contact material and whether the casing feels solid rather than brittle. Available on Sokonia.
