Tronic Stainless Steel Access Floor Socket with 13A Universal Socket and RJ45 Port

Our review

This Tronic access floor socket is a recessed unit that sits flush with the floor, giving you a 13A universal socket for power and a separate RJ45 port for a network connection from the same point. It is aimed at commercial and professional spaces where trailing cables across the floor look untidy or become a trip hazard, such as meeting rooms, open-plan offices, reception areas, and training rooms. Because it is built from stainless steel, it is a reasonable choice where the fitting will be walked over and needs to look presentable rather than purely functional.
Before buying, think about how the unit will be installed. Floor sockets of this type are usually set into a cutout in the floor, so check the depth and diameter your floor construction allows and whether your cabling can be routed to that point. Confirm that the devices you plan to plug in suit a 13A universal socket, and that your network run can reach the RJ45 port. If you only need power, a plain floor outlet may be simpler; if you need data only, a dedicated data floor box could be neater. This combined version makes sense when both are needed at one spot. It is available on Sokonia.
