Tronic Red LED 2W E27 Screw Bulb

Our review

This is a low-wattage red LED bulb from Tronic with a standard E27 screw base, rated at 2 watts. Because it produces red light rather than white, it is not meant for general room lighting. It suits decorative setups, accent or mood lighting, indicator-style uses, and spaces where you want a coloured glow without much power draw. Before buying, confirm your fitting is E27 screw rather than bayonet, and think about whether 2 watts gives enough brightness for your purpose, since coloured LEDs are usually dimmer than white ones. Compare with other coloured LED bulbs on wattage, base type and colour, and with incandescent or fluorescent options on running cost and lifespan. The manufacturer states LED bulbs use at least 75% less energy than incandescent lights, last 35 to 50 times longer than incandescent and roughly 2 to 5 times longer than fluorescent, which lowers maintenance.
