Tronic LED Bulb G45 1.5W Green E27

Our review

This is a small Tronic LED bulb in the G45 shape, rated 1.5W and finished in green, with a standard E27 screw base. Because it is a coloured lamp rather than a white one, think of it as a decorative or accent light: it suits fixtures where you want a splash of green, such as a pendant over a bar area, a bedside lamp, a hallway fitting, or outdoor-style lanterns used indoors. Before buying, check that your fitting takes an E27 base and that the bulb physically fits any shade or enclosure, since the G45 shape is compact but the holder still needs clearance. Also consider whether you want colour only, or a white bulb for tasks like reading, because a green lamp will not give you normal room lighting. Compared with other coloured LED bulbs, the useful things to weigh are the base type, the wattage and the colour, so match those to the socket and the effect you want. The bulb is available on Sokonia.
