Tronic Gold TV and Data Socket, Slim Design

Our review

This is a wall socket from Tronic designed to link a television or signal receiver to the cable running to your aerial. It also carries a data connection, so it can serve a TV point and a network point at the same wall position. The faceplate is slim with smooth edges and a shiny finish, which suits rooms where you want the fittings to look tidy rather than purely functional.
It suits anyone wiring or refreshing a living room, bedroom, office or reception area where a TV and internet outlet are both wanted near the screen. Before buying, check the type of coaxial connector your aerial cable uses, confirm the data connector type you need, and make sure the box depth behind the wall can take the socket. Compare it with plainer white plates if appearance matters, and with separate TV and data outlets if you would rather keep the two runs apart.
