Tronic Floor Socket 1G Universal with RJ45 Data Port

Our review

This is a recessed floor socket from Tronic that combines one universal power outlet with an RJ45 data port in a single fitting. The face is soft-edged polished stainless steel, and the cover sits flush with the surface to keep dust and impurities out of the socket. The lid opens to 90 degrees and can also swing to 180 degrees, which matters if furniture or foot traffic passes over the spot. It suits anyone planning floor-level power and network access in a home office, living area or commercial space where trailing cables are unwanted. Before buying, confirm the cutout size and depth your floor or screed allows, check that your wiring and back box suit a floor-mounted fitting, and decide whether you need the data port or a power-only unit. Compare with plain floor boxes that lack the RJ45 outlet, and with wall sockets if you are not committed to a floor position. Available on Sokonia.
