Tronic Extension Reel 50m 2.5mm 3 Core Cable

Our review

This Tronic extension reel gives you 50 metres of 2.5 mm three core cable, with a plug on one end and outlet sockets on the other, so devices with short cords can reach a distant wall outlet. The cable is rated to carry up to 3800 Watts, which puts it in the heavier-duty range rather than the thin leads sold for lamps and phone chargers. That makes it a sensible pick for workshops, construction sites, gardens, or any large space where you regularly run power tools, pumps, or other high-draw equipment away from a fixed socket.
Before buying, think about the total length you actually need and how much current your equipment draws. A 50-metre run is convenient but adds resistance, so keep the load comfortably within the 3800 Watt figure and unwind the full cable when using high-power tools to avoid heat build-up in the coil. Check that the plug and socket types match your local outlets, and consider whether a shorter reel would be easier to store and carry. Compared with lighter household extensions, this one trades portability for capacity and reach, so it suits buyers who need both rather than occasional indoor use.
