Tronic Dual Universal Socket Pop-Up Floor Panel with RJ45 Ports, BF POPU-11-UN

Our review

This Tronic pop-up floor panel is a recessed power and data point that sits flush with the floor and rises when you need it. Inside the aluminum alloy body you get two 13A universal sockets, which accept a range of plug shapes, plus two RJ45 ports for network or telephone cabling. It suits anyone planning a desk island, meeting table, reception area or living space where trailing cables would otherwise cross the floor. Before buying, confirm the cutout size your installer needs, since the panel has to sit level with the finished floor, and check that your floor build-up is deep enough to house the mechanism. Think about whether you want power and data together or separate outlets, and compare with fixed floor boxes, which are cheaper but always open, or wall-mounted plates, which are simpler but can't serve the middle of a room. If you need both mains power and network access at one point, this combines them. It is available on Sokonia.
