Tronic 1-Gang Blank Faceplate, Matte Black, TD Series

Our review

This Tronic faceplate is a single-gang blank plate finished in matte black, part of the TD series. It is made to close off an electrical wall box that has no switch or socket fitted, so the opening is covered rather than left exposed. It suits anyone tidying up a room where a box was installed for a future point, or where a fitting was removed and the gap needs sealing. The matte black look is aimed at darker switch plates and modern interiors, so it blends rather than stands out. Before ordering, confirm the box is a standard single gang and that the plate's fixing holes line up with your box; check the finish against your existing switches too, since matte and gloss read differently on a wall. Compare with metal blanks if you expect heavy knocks, and with white plastic if your other fittings are light. Available on Sokonia.
