Tronic Black 2 Gang Data Socket

Our review

This is a two-gang data socket from Tronic, finished in black with a slim profile, smooth edges and a shiny surface intended to sit well in modern home or office interiors. A gang here means a single faceplate position, so a two-gang unit gives you two connection points rather than one. It suits anyone wiring structured cabling into a wall, whether for a home office desk, a small business counter or a rented space where you want outlets to look deliberate rather than improvised.
Before buying, confirm the connector type you actually need. Ethernet and telephone cables look fairly similar, and mixing them up is a common mistake, so check whether your run is network or voice and match the socket accordingly. Also check the back box depth and the cable you plan to terminate, since a slim faceplate still needs room behind it. Compare against single-gang sockets if you only need one point, and against different finishes if black will not match your existing plates. Available on Sokonia.
