Our review
This Tronic adaptor, model AD 1026, is a small connector piece that changes an IEC C8 inlet into a C7 connection. In plain terms, it lets a device with a C8 socket accept the figure-eight style C7 lead, which is handy when the original cable has gone missing or when you want to reuse a lead you already own. It is rated for 100 to 250 volts at up to 2.5 amps, so it suits low-power electronics rather than anything drawing heavy current. The body is fireproof ABS with copper contacts, and it comes in black. Before buying, check the socket on your device and the plug on your cable to confirm C8 and C7 are the correct shapes, and make sure your device stays within the 2.5A limit. Compare it with a full replacement power lead if you need a longer run, since an adaptor adds a joint rather than new cable length. It is available on Sokonia.
