Tronic Access Floor Socket with 13A Universal Socket and RJ45 Port, BF POPU-07-UN

Our review

This is a floor-mounted access socket from Tronic that puts a 13A universal power outlet and an RJ45 data port in one unit, listed as model BF POPU-07-UN. It suits anyone planning power and network points in a fixed location rather than along a wall: offices with desks over raised floors, meeting rooms, reception areas, or a home workspace where cables would otherwise trail across the floor. Because it sits in the floor, the main things to check before buying are the cutout and mounting depth your floor build-up allows, whether the lid sits flush enough to walk over safely, and whether your cabling can be routed to that point. Compare it with wall sockets plus separate data outlets, and with floor boxes that offer more ports or configurable modules. If you need one tidy point for both mains power and wired internet, this combination is the reason to consider it. Available on Sokonia.
