Tronic 8-Way Desktop Socket Box, Empty Housing, 245×153mm

Our review

This Tronic unit is a desktop socket box supplied as an empty housing, so it arrives without power sockets, data ports or USB modules. What you get is the frame itself, measuring 245 by 153mm, finished with an aluminum alloy cover and a cable-entry brush that lets cables pass through neatly while keeping the opening tidy. It suits anyone planning a fixed workspace installation, such as an office desk, a meeting table or a reception counter, where power and data outlets need to sit flush and look organized rather than trailing across the surface. Because the modules are not included, the main thing to check before buying is which socket, data and USB modules you intend to fit, and whether their dimensions and mounting style match this housing. Compare it with ready-populated socket boxes if you would rather not source modules separately, and with smaller 4-way or 6-way housings if eight positions is more than your setup needs. The aluminum cover gives it a more finished look than plain plastic alternatives, which matters on a visible desktop. Available on Sokonia.
