Our review
This is a 100-metre reel of 2.5mm four-core flexible cable from Tronic, PVC insulated and made in Tanzania, with conductors drawn from 99.9% pure copper. The four cores make it a natural fit for wiring that needs a live, neutral, earth and one extra conductor running together, such as small three-phase equipment, interconnecting control panels, or circuits where you would rather pull one cable than several. The 2.5mm cross-section suits moderate-current runs, while the flexible stranded construction helps where the route bends around corners, trunking or machinery. Before ordering, confirm the current rating your circuit needs, the voltage grade your installation requires, and whether your electrician wants flexible or solid-core cable, since the two behave differently in fixed wiring. Also check that four cores is genuinely what you need; a three-core cable covers many single-phase jobs and costs less. Compare against other 2.5mm four-core options on conductor purity, insulation material and country of manufacture, and ask your installer to confirm the length covers the full run with slack.
