Tronic 13A Single Socket with Switch & Neon Indicator, Grey

Our review

This is a single 13A wall socket from Tronic, finished in grey with a switch and a neon indicator so you can see at a glance whether the outlet is live. The screwless faceplate and smooth edges give it a cleaner look than basic white sockets, which suits rooms where the fittings are on show, such as living areas, offices or guest rooms. The polycarbonate casing and metal plate point to a fitting meant to handle daily use rather than a temporary fix. Before buying, check that a single outlet is enough for the position, since twin sockets are common alternatives, and confirm the grey finish matches your other switches. Compare the switch action, the neon indicator and the faceplate material against other sockets in the same range, and decide whether you want the screwless look or a standard plate. If you are replacing an older socket, a qualified electrician should handle the wiring. Available on Sokonia.
