Sony MDR-E9LP Wired Earbuds with 13.5mm Drivers and 1.2m Cord

Our review
The Sony MDR-E9LP is a basic wired earbud aimed at listeners who want a spare pair for a Walkman, iPod or MP3 player without spending much. Its 13.5mm driver unit and neodymium magnet are the headline internals, and Sony claims they reproduce powerful bass. The 1.2m cord is described as durable and lightweight, which matters if you move around while listening. Colours vary widely, so you can match a player or pick a favourite. Before buying, check the plug type your device needs, since that detail is not listed here. Also consider whether you prefer an in-ear design that blocks noise; these appear to be classic earbuds that sit outside the ear canal. Compared with similarly priced wired models, the appeal is the Sony name and the larger driver, but you give up features like a microphone or inline controls. If you mainly need simple, corded listening, this pair is worth a look, and it is available on Sokonia.
