Our review
The JBL Go 4 is a palm-sized Bluetooth speaker built for people who want real JBL sound without carrying something bulky. It suits commuters, students, travellers and anyone who wants music in a dorm room, kitchen or picnic spot. The integrated loop makes it easy to clip onto a bag or hang up, and the water and dust proofing means you do not have to baby it near a sink or pool. Before buying, think about how you will use it: this is a personal speaker, so if you need room-filling sound for a party, a larger model will serve you better. Also check that your phone or laptop has Bluetooth, and note the Type C charging port. Compared with other ultra-portable speakers, its main draw is the JBL Pro Sound tuning and the colour choices.
