Ingco 8-Piece Ratchet Spanner Set HKSPAR1082, 8-19mm

Our review

This is an eight-piece ratchet spanner set from Ingco, covering the common metric sizes of 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19mm. The ratchet mechanism is made from Cr-Mo, while the spanners themselves are CR-V with a fine polished finish, and the set comes packed on a plastic hanger. It suits someone doing regular mechanical or maintenance work who wants the speed of a ratcheting ring rather than a plain combination spanner, and who needs the sizes that turn up most often on cars, motorcycles and household fittings. Before buying, check that 8-19mm actually covers the fasteners you work on, since sets that skip sizes or stop at 17mm can leave you short. Also think about whether you want a flexible head or a reversing lever, features some ratchet spanners include and this listing does not mention. Compare the ratchet material and finish against other sets in the same size range, and consider whether a plastic hanger is enough storage for you or whether you would rather have a case. If the size range and build suit your work, it is available on Sokonia.
