Our review
The Ingco VPM3708 is a small peripheral pump built around a 370W (0.5HP) motor running on 220–240V at 50Hz. Its copper wire motor and copper impeller are the parts that matter most in this class, since they affect how well the pump holds up under regular use. With a maximum head of 35 metres, a maximum flow of 35 litres per minute and maximum suction of 8 metres, it is aimed at light domestic and garden duties: moving water from a tank or shallow source, topping up a storage tank, or feeding a small irrigation line. It is not a deep-well or heavy-duty booster pump, so it suits a household or small plot rather than continuous commercial work. Before buying, check your actual lift and pipe run against the 35m head figure, since friction in long or narrow pipes reduces real-world performance. Confirm the 1 x 1 inch pipe diameter matches your existing fittings, and note the 0.15m cable, which is short and may need an extension or a nearby outlet. Compare it with other 0.5HP peripheral pumps on motor material, head and flow ratings, and whether the inlet suits suction from your tank or mains. The unit is packed in a colour box and is available on Sokonia.
