This Ingco padlock is a 70mm brass-bodied lock, which puts it in the larger end of general-purpose padlocks. The brass body is the main talking point: brass resists corrosion better than painted steel or zinc alloys, so it holds up in humid, coastal or outdoor conditions where cheaper locks start to seize. At 542g it has real heft, and the set includes three brass keys rather than the usual two, which is handy if more than one person needs access. It suits gates, sheds, storerooms, lockers and toolboxes where you want a visible, sturdy deterrent rather than concealed security. Before buying, check the shackle diameter and the hasp or staple it needs to pass through, since a 70mm body is wide and will not fit every latch.
