Hisense 100″ Laser TV 4K UHD TriChroma HE100L9G

Our review

This is a 100-inch Hisense laser television that pairs a short-throw projector unit with an ambient light rejection screen, so the image is designed to hold up in a room with some light rather than only in darkness. The 4K UHD resolution and TriChroma triple-colour light engine are the headline points, along with a wide colour gamut and Dolby Atmos audio. It suits someone who wants a very large picture without mounting a conventional 100-inch panel on the wall, and who has the wall space and viewing distance to make that size worthwhile. Before buying, think about where the screen will sit relative to windows and lamps, since ambient light rejection screens work best when light comes from above rather than the sides. Also check the throw distance the projector needs from the screen, and whether your room can accommodate it. Compared with a large LED or OLED television, a laser TV like this typically gives you more screen for the money but asks more of your room layout and setup. If you mainly watch in a bright, side-lit room or want the simplest possible install, a conventional large TV may be the easier choice. Available on Sokonia.
