Dolphin Inverter Air Conditioner 18000 BTU D-18BTU

Our review

The Dolphin D-18BTU is an inverter air conditioner rated at 18000 BTU, a capacity that generally suits larger living rooms, open-plan spaces, small offices or shops rather than a single bedroom. Inverter technology means the compressor varies its speed instead of switching fully on and off, which is the main reason this type tends to use less energy and hold a steadier temperature than a fixed-speed unit. The auto restart system is a practical detail in Tanzania, where power interruptions are common: after the supply returns, the unit resumes its previous settings instead of waiting for someone to reset it. Before buying, confirm the room size and ceiling height, check whether the space gets direct afternoon sun, and make sure the electrical supply and wiring can handle the load. Also compare the installed cost, since mounting, piping and refrigerant work are usually separate from the unit itself. If your room is smaller, a lower BTU inverter model may be the better match; if it is much larger or heavily glazed, consider stepping up. Available on Sokonia.
