This is a hand-operated hydraulic crimping tool from Ingco, built for terminating copper cable with a hexagonal crimp profile. Its crimping range covers 16 to 240mm2, and the head develops 70kN of force with an 18mm stroke, so it suits electrical work on distribution boards, panel builds, motor connections and larger cable runs where a manual ratchet crimper would struggle. Ten dies are supplied, covering 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185 and 240mm2, along with a set of sealing O-rings. At roughly 475mm long and 3.6kg, it is a two-hand tool, so plan for the space and posture you need on ladders or inside enclosures. Before ordering, confirm your lug sizes match the die range and that a hex crimp is what your specification or inspector expects, since some jobs call for an indent crimp instead. Compare against battery-powered crimpers if you have many joints to make, and against smaller 16-70mm2 hydraulic models if you rarely go above 70mm2. The kit is available on Sokonia.
