This is a 150mm non-return damper from Tronic, designed to sit on a pipe connector and stop outside air from coming in when your fan is off. The flap opens when exhaust air pushes through and closes automatically once the airflow stops, which helps keep cold air and returning exhaust out of the duct. It suits anyone running an extractor fan, bathroom or kitchen ventilation, or similar ducted setup where backflow is a problem. Before buying, confirm your duct is actually 150mm and that the damper can sit horizontally, because the flap needs that orientation to close properly. Compare it with simpler gravity shutters or motorised dampers: this one relies on airflow, so it has no wiring, but it also won't seal as firmly as a powered unit.
