Tronic 20A Double Pole Switch with Neon Indicator, White

Our review

This is a Tronic double pole switch rated at 20 amps, finished in white with a neon indicator. Double pole means it breaks both the live and neutral conductors, so it can isolate an appliance completely rather than leaving one side live. That makes it a sensible choice for higher-load fixed equipment such as water heaters, air conditioners, cookers or workshop machinery, and for any circuit where you want a visible, positive disconnection point. The neon gives you a clear indication of the switch state, which is useful when the switch sits away from the appliance it controls. Tronic describes the standard range as slim with smooth edges and a shiny surface, so it suits modern interiors where a bulky accessory would look out of place. Before buying, confirm the current rating matches the load and cable size, check the mounting arrangement suits your box or panel, and decide whether you need a neon at all, since plain double pole switches cost less. Single pole switches are cheaper and fine for lighting, but they do not isolate an appliance the way this one does.
