Tronic StepDown Transformer 2000VA 230V to 110V ST 2000-230-110

Our review
This Tronic unit is a step-down transformer rated at 2000VA, taking 230V input and delivering 110V output, which is the voltage many appliances from North America and Japan expect. It suits someone who has brought in a 110V device and needs to run it from a 230V supply, whether that is a kitchen appliance, a power tool, or audio gear. Before buying, add up the wattage of everything you plan to connect and leave headroom, because a transformer running near its limit will heat up and may cut out. Also confirm your device truly needs 110V rather than being dual voltage, since dual-voltage items only need a plug adapter. Compared with smaller step-downs, this 2000VA size covers heavier loads, but it is bulkier and heavier, so plan where it will sit. Check the plug types on both sides and whether your device's startup surge, common with motors, fits within the rating. Available on Sokonia.
