Tronic Float Switch, 2 Meter

Our review

This Tronic float switch is a contact liquid level sensor that uses a float to operate a switch. When the liquid rises or falls to the point where the float sits, the switch changes state, which makes it useful for starting or stopping a pump or sounding an alarm at a chosen level. It suits someone managing a water tank, borehole storage, sump or similar vessel who wants automatic control rather than checking levels by hand. The 2-metre figure is the part to think about first: measure the depth you need the float to travel and confirm the cable or stem length reaches your switching point with room to mount it. Before buying, check the liquid you are sensing, the mounting arrangement at the tank top, and whether your pump or alarm circuit matches the switch's contact type. Compare with other float switches on cable length, mounting style and whether they are normally open or normally closed, since those decide how the switch behaves in your setup. It is available on Sokonia.
