Westpoint Hood Cooker 90cm WEQ-9517.PMN Black Glass

Our review
The Westpoint WEQ-9517.PMN is a 90cm hood cooker finished in black glass, with three extraction speeds and LED lighting built in. The 90cm width makes it a natural fit above a wide hob or a range-style cooker, where a narrower hood would leave smoke drifting past the edges. The three speeds give you a gentle setting for simmering and a stronger one for frying, while the LED lighting illuminates the cooking surface below. The black glass finish is a design choice worth thinking through: it looks sharp against dark cabinetry but shows fingerprints and splashes, so plan on regular wiping. Before buying, check the ducting route in your kitchen, since extraction performance depends on how the air leaves the room, and confirm the hood's dimensions against your cooker and cabinet gap. Compare it with other 90cm hoods on noise at higher speeds, filter type and how easy the filters are to remove and clean. If your priority is a wide, understated hood with variable extraction, this one is worth a look, and it is available on Sokonia.
