Tronic Universal Remote Control with Wi-Fi Input
TSh 48,000
Our review
This Tronic remote is an all-in-one infrared controller meant to replace the pile of handsets scattered around a living room or bedroom. According to the listing, it can operate air conditioners, TVs, fans, DVDs, set-top boxes and TV boxes, and it pairs with Alexa and Google Home through a Wi-Fi input, so voice control is part of the appeal. It suits someone who wants one handset for several IR devices and already uses a smart speaker at home. Before buying, confirm that each device you want to control is infrared and that its brand appears in the remote's compatibility list, since IR remotes cannot command Bluetooth-only or radio-frequency gear. Also check whether your devices need line-of-sight, as infrared requires it. Compared with a basic multi-brand remote, the smart-home pairing is the main difference; compared with a hub-based system, it is simpler but limited to IR. The listed 16mm diameter suggests a slim body that fits a lounge or bedroom setup.
