Tronic Telephone Socket RJ11

Our review

The Tronic Telephone Socket RJ11 is a connector for telephone or modem wiring, the small rectangular jack most landline phones and ADSL routers use. It suits anyone setting up or repairing a fixed phone point at home, in a shop, or in an office, and it is a sensible spare if an existing socket has cracked or gone intermittent. Before buying, check what you are replacing: RJ11 is narrower than the RJ45 network socket, so confirm the plug on your phone cable actually matches. Also look at how your current socket is mounted and how the cable is terminated, since fitting methods vary. Compare against other RJ11 sockets on build material and termination style, and against RJ45 outlets if you need data rather than voice. The listing summary mentions a fan, which does not match this product, so treat the title and brand as your guide. Available on Sokonia.
