It takes 610x100mm sanding belts, and the quick release belt change system is the detail worth noting, since swapping belts on cheaper sanders often means fiddling with tracking screws and tension levers. The 100mm belt width puts it in the mid-size class, wider than the narrow 75mm models sold for light trim work but not as bulky as the big 100mm-plus floor sanders. It suits someone flattening boards, removing old paint or finish, or levelling a glued-up panel in a home workshop or small carpentry setup. Before buying, check that 610x100mm belts are easy for you to find locally, because belt size decides your running cost more than the machine itself. Compare against random orbital sanders if you mostly need a fine finish rather than stock removal, and against 75mm belt sanders if you work in tight spots. The 1200W motor is on the strong side for this class, so it should hold speed under load, but belt sanders of any brand remove material fast and can gouge a surface in seconds, so practise on scrap first.
