Tronic GI Box for Grid Switch, 47mm Metal, Silver
TSh 12,500
Our review
This Tronic GI box is the metal enclosure that sits behind a grid switch, plug or similar outlet device, mounted into a wall or ceiling so the wiring and the back of the fitting are housed properly. The silver metal body is 47mm in its listed dimension, and Tronic backs it with a one-year warranty. It suits anyone wiring or repairing a property who needs a box that matches a grid-style accessory rather than a standard pattress. Before ordering, confirm the depth and fixing centres your switch or socket plate needs, since a 47mm box will not suit every wall thickness or accessory, and check whether your installation calls for metal rather than plastic for earthing or fire performance. Compare it with other metal back boxes on box depth, material gauge and knockout arrangement, and with plastic alternatives if you do not need metal. The box is available on Sokonia.
