Tronic Top Plug with Neon, 13A 220-240V, Transparent Bakelite

Our review
This Tronic top plug is a 13-amp plug with a neon indicator, made from transparent Bakelite so you can see the internal connections. It is rated for AC 220-240V, which matches typical Tanzanian mains, and Tronic backs it with a one-year warranty. The neon light is the practical draw: it tells you whether power is reaching the plug, which saves time when a socket or appliance seems dead. It suits anyone wiring or replacing a plug on a 13A circuit, from homeowners to electricians carrying spares. Before buying, confirm your appliance's current draw stays within 13 amps, check the cable diameter fits the terminals, and make sure your socket takes a standard 13A plug. Compare against plain plugs without indicators, which cost less but give no visual confirmation of live power, and against fused plugs if your setup needs a replaceable fuse. The transparent body also helps you verify the wiring is correct after tightening the screws.
