Tronic Step-Down Transformer 3000VA 230V to 110V ST 3000-230-110

Our review

This Tronic unit is a step-down transformer rated at 3000VA, taking 230V mains input and delivering 110V output, listed under model ST 3000-230-110. It suits someone running 110V appliances in a 230V country, such as imported kitchen equipment, audio gear or power tools. Before buying, work out the appliance's wattage and add headroom for startup surge, since motors and compressors briefly draw far more than their running rating. Also confirm the plug and socket arrangement matches your appliance, and whether you need continuous or intermittent use. Compare against smaller transformers if your load is light, and against voltage stabilisers if your concern is fluctuation rather than voltage conversion. The listing summary mentions an iron with vertical steaming and burst steam, which does not match a transformer, so treat that text as unreliable and rely on the title and model number when deciding.
