Tronic Gold Telephone + PC Socket (Cat 6)

Our review

This Tronic unit is a combined telephone and PC socket finished in gold, with a screwless face, smooth edges, and a metal mounting plate. The body is polycarbonate, which is the material most often chosen for wall plates because it resists cracking and holds its colour better than cheaper plastics. It suits anyone wiring a home office, living room, or commercial space who wants data and voice outlets to match a warmer interior finish rather than the usual white.
Before buying, confirm the cable you are terminating is Cat 6 and that your back box depth and fixing centres match the plate. Also check whether your telephone line uses the same connector type as the socket, since telephone wiring varies. Compare against plain white Cat 6 outlets and single-purpose sockets: you gain a tidier two-in-one point, but you lose the flexibility of swapping one service independently later.
