Tronic Glossy White TV Socket

Our review

This is a television socket from Tronic, finished in glossy white. It is the wall plate that links a television or signal receiver to the cable running to the aerial, so it belongs to the fixed wiring of a room rather than to the television itself. The slim profile, smooth edges and shiny surface are meant to sit quietly against modern interiors, which makes it a reasonable pick if you are finishing a living room, office or rental unit and want the outlet to look tidy rather than industrial. Before buying, check the type of aerial cable and connector already in your wall, and confirm the mounting arrangement matches the box you have, because those details decide whether a plate fits at all. Compare it with other white sockets on finish, edge shape and how the plate sits flush, and with metal or coloured plates if the wall calls for something different. If your priority is a clean, bright surface that blends into a pale wall, this one is worth a look. Available on Sokonia.
